Excelinc matches young entrepreneurs with the skills, team, knowledge and connections they need to rapidly build their ideas and their entrepreneurial business skills.

Excelinc’s founder has built startups before. He started his first business at 21 and has taken three companies to Initial Public Offerings on the Australian Stock Exchange.
The most recent listed company he founded had a market capitalization of over $700 million dollars on the day he left. By any measure he has been successful but like every entrepreneur he has had challenges, even failures.
We have gathered a team of mentors experienced in all aspects of business – not just the startup phase but all the factors that are required to give a business longevity and success. There is a lot to learn and we’ll ensure you don’t make the same mistakes we did.
Developing a business idea into a startup company is a massive challenge and can be a lonely, rather disheartening process. Studying and working with other people going through the same experience makes a huge difference.
We are only providing 1000 places in each city – that’s enough for 167 teams of 6 candidates. We keep the number of candidates and startup so small so we can give the care and attention each team needs to have the best chance of success.
Friendly competition with your peers and quality time spent with mentors and the administrative and design team we have onsite will build your confidence. When you are surrounded by motivation and support you will never feel alone or stumped.
Welcome to your second home! Imagine a place where the very air itself is alive with possibilities? Here is a space you will be proud to call your office, workshop and lecture theatre. It’s a place where you get support from dedicated administration and design staff, with lightening fast Wi-Fi.
The space boasts a generous kitchen and entertainment area, private ‘quiet’ offices, conference rooms and a large learning/presenting space for those all important group learning sessions, and product presentations before the whole faculty, mentors and even real investors.
But remember it’s a supportive environment and the focus is on learning so all the skills become second nature by the time you graduate the program and become ‘take on the world’ ready!
Being chosen by Excelinc will validate your skills and business idea. Our network will help you connect with Australian and international investors.
When you are ready (and we expect this will be no more than six months into the program), our Eureka Showcase Day will showcase your idea and provide opportunities to meet and present to people in Australia who might invest in taking your business idea to the next level.
Excelinc itself offers seed funding of $20,000 to the top 20% of graduating startups who qualify. The best graduates of the program get the chance to join an all expenses paid trip to Silicon Valley and San Francisco to pitch your startup business to global private equity and venture capitalists.
Excelinc faculty, its mentors and advisors delivers to candidates a wide variety of experts focused on finance, marketing, human resources, startup culture, accounting, product and image design, user testing, sales, and more.
The learnings are designed to take School and University leavers through a program that can be assessed for formal undergraduate and post graduate qualifications.
Successful completion of the Startup School program including all activities and projects will provide credits for formal qualifications at the diploma, degree and post graduate certificate level. So you can work on your passion, get invaluable experience and still be achieving academic goals.
It’s a flexible learning environment unlike any University but still a credible pathway to formal qualifications.
Build connections! One of the biggest challenges facing startup teams and would be entrepreneurs is the lack of a network.
How do you get access to potential customers, good legal advice to protect your intellectual property and the contacts which are so vital to develop your idea into a thriving company? Our network extends across industries and countries.
Finding investors is important but finding the right investors to meet your needs and stage of development can be the difference between success and failure. We give you access to a broad range of connections so you can leverage them and make the right choices.
